You'll fish across multiple beats on the Helmsdale, Naver, Brora and Borgie rivers in Sutherland, one of the last true wilderness areas in Britain. Each river has its own character, and we'll match the day to your party and the conditions.
At the end of the day, you head back to the lodge for a whisky by the fire and dinner with the family running the house.

Salmon and sea trout in Scotland are largely catch-and-release these days, especially spring and back-end fish. The ghillie advises on the day — if a fish does go in the bag, we can arrange smoking and packaging to take home.

Absolutely. Observers stay at the lodge for $1,000, or add a sightseeing programme for $1,500 — guided day trips to castles, distilleries, beaches and Highland scenery while you're on the river.
